Inserting an iFrame with the rich text editor

Add an iFrame to an entry in an IBM® Connections application.

About this task

You can add embedded content, such as webpages or videos, to an iFrame by referencing a URL to the content. An iFrame is an object that is embedded in a frame within a webpage.
Note: iFrames are available only in the Blogs, Forums, and Wikis applications.

Procedure

  1. Create or edit a blog entry or a wiki page.
  2. Insert the cursor in the Entry field where you want the iFrame to be displayed.
  3. Click the Insert iFrame icon in the editor toolbar.
  4. Enter the following information about the image:
    URL
    Web address of the content that is embedded in the iFrame.
    Width
    Width of the iFrame in pixels.
    Height
    Height of the iFrame in pixels.
    Align
    Alignment of the iFrame relative to adjacent objects. The options are Left, Right, Top, Middle, and Bottom.
    Enable scrollbars
    Specify whether to display scrollbars in the iFrame.
    Show frame border
    Specify whether to display a border around the iFrame.
  5. Click the Advanced tab to specify more properties of the iFrame:
    ID
    A unique identifier for the iFrame.
    Style
    CSS style definitions. Separate each value with a semi-colon; separate individual properties with spaces.
    Style sheet Classes
    Class of the iFrame. Separate multiple class names with spaces.
    Long Description URL
    Address of a webpage that contains a detailed description of the content of the iFrame. Use this attribute to help visually impaired users.
  6. Click OK to add the iFrame to the entry.
